Central to this is Lark’s unwavering belief in the power of collaboration and his profound respect for the wisdom and resilience of those he serves.

Over more than two decades, Lark has applied his expertise across mental health, education, policy, and community development. His work spans leading Queer Humboldt as Executive Director, practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist, advising state-level public health and legislative initiatives, and shaping inclusive education as a Northern California Policy Fellow for GLSEN. He is an active member of the Two-Spirit Dry Lab, a professional trainer, and an equity advisor to the California Department of Public Health and the California LGBTQ Legislative Caucus.

Raised as a white settler on the ancestral lands of the Muwekma Ohlone, Lark relocated to unceded Wiyot territory in 2000, following a dream that called him North. His leadership is informed by a deep understanding of place, history, and the importance of honoring Indigenous sovereignty. He works with a vibrant network of community partners to bridge supports and services, ensuring that 2S/LGBTQIA+ people can thrive locally and beyond.

Lark holds both Educational Specialist and School Administrative credentials in the State of California. His professional path continues to integrate mental health practice, policy engagement, and organizational leadership, with a focus on advancing equity, dignity, and opportunity for all.
