Roda Cotanay, is a driven project management professional with 15 years of combined project and grants management experience in non-profit and higher education settings. She has experience in multi-sector engagement, budget management, team collaboration, communication and coordination. Roda has experience in supporting overall project management with multiple funding streams from Federal, State, and private philanthropic donors. Roda previously served as the Manager for Advancement and Community Solutions at the Humboldt Area Foundation where she managed all active and potential grants, tracked program deliverables, and managed funder outreach and engagement. She went on to serve as the Coordinator for Scholars in Cancer Research Program at the Univeristy of North Texas Health Science center where she developed strategies to improve policies and procedures for recruitment and selection of candidates, diversifying the cancer research workforce, and developing partnerships with minority serving institutions.
